CBO report forecasts unemployment rate at 10% in 2012

In what assuredly would be a devastating economic indicator for President Obama, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) came out with a report forecasting the unemployment rate for 2012. While manipulated BLS reports in November and December dropped the rate down to 8.5%, the truth is those numbers reflect less people receiving unemployment benefits and don't take into account the hundreds of thousands who fell off the roles.
And the fact that the CBO predicted negative $2.5 trillion in net debt by 2011 back in 2011 is largely ignored. Anyway, here are some of the highlights.

2012 Deficit: $1.1 trillion; 2013 Deficit: $0.6 - yes, we are cackling like mad too...
Unemployment to remain above 8% in 2012 and 2013; will be around 7% by end of 2015; to drop to 5.25% by end of 2022.
- This forecast is utterly idiotic and is completely unattainable unless the US workforce drops to all time lows and the US economy generates 300,000 jobs a month for 10 years
Needless to say, CBO assumes the best of all worlds in this meaningless forecast
But here is the kicker: "Had that portion of the decline in the labor force participation rate since 2007 that is attributable to neither the aging of the baby boomers nor the downturn in the business cycle (on the basis of the experience in previous downturns) not occurred, the unemployment rate in the fourth quarter of 2011 would have been about 1¼ percentage points higher than the actual rate of 8.7 percent" translation: CBO just admitted that the BLS numbers are bogus and real unemployment is 10%. Bushes sneak in/out the White House on Friday

Unbeknownst to the press, President Obama met Friday evening with former president George H.W. Bush and his son, former Florida governor Jeb Bush, in the Oval Office.

White House officials did not list the meeting on the president’s schedule but released a photo on Flickr. According to the photo’s time stamp, the meeting occurred shortly after 5 p.m., about the time the president returned to the White House from a fundraiser.

When asked what the men discussed and why it wasn’t on the schedule, the White House released a statement saying, “The three men enjoyed a personal visit in the Oval Office – as they have done on previous occasions when President Bush is Washington.”

The Bushes are in town to attend the exclusive Alfalfa Club dinner Saturday, an annual get-together for Washington power brokers that Obama also is scheduled to attend, according to the Associated Press.

The meeting came at an interesting time politically, just one day after Obama, in an interview with ABC News, blamed predecessor George W. Bush for policies that brought on the greatest recession since the Great Depression. He also blamed him for initiating the expansion of food stamp rolls.

Earlier this week, Stimulus beneficiary Evergreen Energy bit the dust. Then, Ener1, a manufacturer of batteries for electric vehicles and recipient of Stimulus largesse, filed for bankruptcy. And today, the Las Vegas Sun reports that Amonix, Inc., a manufacturer of solar panels that received $5.9 million from the Porkulus, will cut two-thirds of its workforce, about 200 employees, only seven months after opening a factory in Nevada.

Could this be America’s Kumbaya Moment?

REALITY CHECK!

No third party has ever been successful in American politics. There have been many third parties, but they all succeeded in electing the candidate whom the third-partiers did not want.

Think back to George H. W. Bush. He was a waffling wimp of a president. Americans loved his predecessor and longed for someone who could be the next Ronald Reagan.

That person of the moment was Ross Perot. The billionaire was an instant celebrity on the Main Stream Media. They all wanted to hear what he was saying. Their questions came slow and easy. In the news business, it’s what is known as puff-ball questions. Perot looked great. Perot sounded great. Perot’s logic was “flawless” to many.

He succeeded in getting William Jefferson Clinton elected to the presidency.

Lurking out there are several potential third party “movements”. These movements are all as "big" as the egos of the billionaires behind them.

Mike Reagan, Limbaugh defend Newt

Ronald Reagan’s eldest son Mike Reagan has issued a statement lambasting Mitt Romney and his supporters for claims that Romney’s Republican presidential rival Newt Gingrich was a strong critic of President Reagan.

Reagan says such claims are false.

Even Rush Limbaugh, shocked by the Romney claims, chimed on his Thursday radio broadcast to say “This is obviously a coordinated attack to take Newt out here in Florida.”

Rush slammed the Romney-backed smear campaign against Newt.

“That kind of stuff is why people hate Romney so much,” Limbaugh said.

Why Your Voter ID Card is in Limbo

Why haven’t you received your voters ID card if you live in Collin and other counties in Texas?

The redistricting drawn up by the Texas Legislature is in litigation and is being reviewed by the Obama Justice Department under Justice Secretary Eric Holder.

The issue of the court in San Antonio holding up the process is just muddying the water.

The law comes out of the liberalism of the 1960’s. According to Wikipedia:

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of national legislation in the United States that outlawed discriminatory voting practices that had been responsible for the widespread disenfranchis****t of African Americans in the U.S.

Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Act prohibits states from imposing any "voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure ... to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote on account of race or color." Specifically, Congress intended the Act to outlaw the practice of requiring otherwise qualified voters to pass literacy tests in order to register to vote, a principal means by which Southern states had prevented African-Americans from exercising the franchise. The Act was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson, a Democrat, who had earlier signed the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law.

… The Act has been renewed and amended by Congress four times, the most recent being a 25-year extension signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2006.

When did this happen; when did the men in America lose “Their Mojo” and decide it was okay to stay home and let someone else put food on the table?

In the late 90′s I lived in an affluent neighborhood in suburban San Francisco. It was kind of likeBeaver Clever’s home town; dads went to work and mom’s stayed home and nurtured the children, well in most cases. Actually, in 2 of the 34 homes in our tract, it was actually the dads who raised the kids and the “she-men” drudged off to work each day. Perhaps this was a clue of things to come.

I am happy to say that my daughter recently married a wonderful (and hard working) young man. I must admit that as a prospective father-in-law, I spent a fair amount of time over the past 10 years interviewing my daughter’s boyfriends. And, needless to say, I was heavily focused on their career potential.

Thinking back, there was more evidence in these PSIL’s (Potential son-in-law) interviews than I realized. In my generation, no one grew up dreaming about working for the government, but not so anymore.

One recent PSIL’s ultimate goal was to be an English Teacher, another wanted to be a Firefighter and High School Football Coach. And even one of the most industrious PSILs ended up going to work for a government funded defense contractor after graduation; mostly because the private sector wasn’t hiring.

The Sad Facts

David Brooks reported a number of sobering facts in his recent piece on this topic:

“In 1954, about 96 percent of American men between the ages of 25 and 54 worked. Today that number is around 80 percent. One-fifth of all men in their primeworking ages are not getting up and going to work.”

“The number of Americans on the permanent disability rolls, meanwhile, has steadily increased. Ten years ago, 5 million Americans collected a federal disability benefit. Now 8.2 million do. That costs taxpayers $115 billion a year, or about $1,500 per household. Government actuaries predict that the trust fund that pays for these benefits will run out of money within seven years.”

“More American men lack the emotional and professional skills they would need to contribute. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 35 percent of those without a high school diploma are out of the labor force, compared with less than 10 percent of those with a college degree.”

The Law of Unintended Consequences

As we are all painfully aware, the United States has been on a fast track to becoming a Nanny State for decades, but the whole “Hope and Change” campaign that Obama bombarded college students with in 2008 put the whole thing on steroids. Let’s face it, Obama’s message was simply “elect me and I’ll take care of you.’

We now have 99 weeks of extended unemployment benefits, Obamacare, military Chaplains officiating over gay marriages among combat soldiers, and to me, the worst is a president who can’t report anything good in America with using the word “I” in every other sentence and “plays the victim” card when his critics get a little tough — not much of a male role model.

I think all of this has brought about unintended consequences that have undermined one of the greatest forces on earth — the self determination of the American Man.

The ”Mancession”

My friend Mark Perry has been writing about the fact that most of the pain of the great recession of 2008 has fallen on men — take a look:

“Male employment is down by 4,932,000 jobs since the January 2008 peak, compared to female employment being 2.549 million jobs below the peak. Therefore, we can say that for every 100 jobs lost by women since the start of the recession, men have lost 193.5 jobs.”

“On a percentage basis, men have suffered about 66% of the recession-related job losses, and women only 34%.“

And then there is this:

Women Unite?

As the above chart indicates, the decline of the American male has been somewhat offset by the rise of the American woman. Clearly, more so than any so-called minority, American woman have taken full advantage of decades of affirmative action to even the score in the battle of the sexes.

There is one problem with this. In my father’s generation, there was no doubt about who was responsible to protect freedom and the American way and no doubt about who was responsible for putting food on the family table. Although my generation (the age of Aquarius) was considerably softer, by and large, my men friends knew that their family’s standard of living was pretty much dependent on their career and work effort.

But it appears that for as many as 20% of today’s American males, this is no longer the truth. Thanks to our emerging Nanny State, our kids are learning that their economic well being defined by the state — and if you want more than your neighbor, well, you’re just greedy.

So where will the innovative drive that built the US economy in the past come from?

My fear is that with the exception of the relentless dedication of many single mothers, I’m not so sure that today’s successful women have the same drive as successful men of the past; if they don’t have it who does?

Our National Focus

Clearly, with millions of Baby Boomers retiring every year, stressing the capabilities of Social Security and Medicare, now is a lousy time for our young men to go wimpy. But can you blame them when we live in a country with half the country votes for candidates who promise to have the government take care of them?

Perhaps Brooks said it best:

“Reinvigorating the missing fifth — bringing them back into the labor market and using their capabilities — will certainly require money. If this were a smart country, we’d be having a debate about how to shift money from programs that provide comfort and toward programs that spark reinvigoration.

But, of course, that’s not what is happening. Discretionary spending, which might be used to instigate dynamism, is declining. Health care spending, which mostly provides comfort to those beyond working years, is expanding. Attempts to take money from health care to open it up for other uses are being crushed.”

Not only is no one working on solving this problem; few even realize it exists.

Why we should not watch the media

This is why we should not rely on the media for information.

It is unreliable. Most people do not get their information from the news media anyway. They get it from the following:

Comedy shows
Late night television
Day Time soap operas
Three-minute news segments during the day.
Their “friends”
Their union boss or union steward or union publication
Sit coms
Movies

What has the media created?

Many – probably most – men spend much of their time drinking beer and watching ESPN. They don’t know anything. Older men want entitlements to pay for the medical bills they created by abusive, compulsive, obsessive, and risky lifestyles.

Women want entitlements because they are mostly (YES! mostly) unmarried and have a family to raise. Younger women want entitlements because they are afraid they will get pregnant and will need money for an abortion or medical bills for STD’s. They love to party, get tattoos and have sex. The poster child for this group is Casey Anthony. They believe they are not getting a “fair shake” in the labor market, and they want the government to make it up somehow.

White Christians believe voting liberal is not WWJD, but WJWD. (What Jesus Would Do.) They have some crazy mixed up theological ideal. They have no idea what Christianity really is. They want to send our sons to fight over a pile of rocks in Israel. They don't think about the consequences. They don’t believe it may be their sons. They don’t think past WJWD. As far as redistribution and entitlements are concerned, isn’t that WJWD? Of course!

Minorities want entitlements because they don’t want to work when they don’t have to. They have been told and believe that their backs and their hard work created the whites’ wealth. Now, they want it to be redistributed. After all, that’s what they have been promised?

Students and young people have been politically corrected in school. They somehow believe they are the “99 percent” and everyone else is the “1 percent”. After all, they never learned math in school. They were too busy being politically corrected, smoking dope, listening to MTV, thinking about sex, and watching sports to think about the future or the Constitution.

It’s like the story of the Ant and the Grasshopper. It doesn't register with them. They cannot read anyway! They live in a Tele-Visual universe. The only morality tales they know were spoon fed to them on MTV, the movies, and ESPN.

They all will get what they want too … at least for a while.

Obama: More jobs in jobless benefits than Keystone

President Obama said that he will delay his vacation and keep Congress in session until the passage of his desired payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits extension -- two proposals that Obama said would create more jobs than the Keystone XL pipeline that his administration recently delayed.

"I would not ask anyone to do something I'm not willing to do myself," Obama said when asked if he would go on vacation while keeping Congress in Washington D.C. "We are going to stay here as long as it takes [to get unemployment extended and pass the payroll tax cut]."

As Obama called for passage of those bills, he also responded to a recent Republican push to require him to approve the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada. "However many jobs might be generated by a Keystone pipeline," he said, "they're going to be a lot fewer than the jobs that are created by extending the payroll tax cut and extending unemployment insurance."

The Obama administration will announce this afternoon it is rejecting a Canadian firm’s application for a permit to build and operate a massive oil pipeline across the U.S.-Canada border, according to sources who have been briefed on the matter.

However the administration will allow TransCanada to reapply after it develops an alternate route through the sensitive habitat of Nebraska’s Sandhills. Deputy Secretary of State William J. Burns will make the announcement, which comes in response to a congressionally-mandated deadline of Feb. 21 for action on the proposed Keystone pipeline.

Santorum: ‘Supply-Sider’ for the working man

'I'm someone who believes that making things creates wealth," says Rick Santorum.

It is primary day in New Hampshire, and the former Pennsylvania senator and current presidential candidate is describing his plan to slash corporate tax rates. To encourage companies to make things, he would completely eliminate the federal income tax on manufacturers. For all other businesses, the rate would be cut in half, to 17.5% from 35%.

Mr. Santorum also believes that making babies creates wealth. It's very difficult to grow an economy with a shrinking population, he says, pointing to the "demographic winter in Europe" as a cause of that region's troubles. To help avoid that fate in the U.S., he wants to triple the per-child tax credit and also cut individual tax rates.

I’ve tried to stay neutral in the Republican primary. That is up until now.

What has changed? I watched the Newt Gingrich South Carolina attack ad. Gingrich damaged himself and Romney with this attack ad. In doing so, Gingrich denigrated capitalism.

What was on Newt Gingrich’s mind when he ran that ad? It was shameless!

Bill O’Reilly led off on his show tonight (Jan. 12) with Gingrich’s attack ad controversy.

Now we know what Obama knows. This is obviously a Democrat attack ad. We can expect to see a possible Romney candidacy hammered by this ad and similar ads in September before the presidential election.

The ad says that Romney’s company, Bain Capital, bought failing companies in South Carolina and cashed them out for a profit. There is no evidence that happened. However, Romney is damaged.

The best alternative now is for conservatives to unite behind Rick Santorum. He is the only candidate that has not been tainted.

A.B. Stoddard, editor of The Hill newspaper, said today that Santorum is nearing talks with Gingrich. The objective is to try to get Gingrich’s endorsement should he (Gingrich) drop out before or after South Carolina.

Ron Paul’s supporters should follow suit.

Santorum’s supporters should be very careful about criticizing Ron Paul’s minions. We absolutely need them and their votes in November.

There is only one objective. We should all put aside pride and unite behind one candidate. That candidate is Rick Santorum.

The Evangelicals have turned their wrath from Satan to Ron Paul, who definitely is not.

When the primary is over, the Republican party needs Ron Paul’s supporters. We do not want four more years of Mr. Obama’s regime.

The InkDemon’s hope is that Ron Paul will effect some changes for the better in the Republican platform and throw his support to the nominee – not to a third party.

Who is to blame for Gadhafi's cruel death?

The rebels captured and killed Libyan dictator Mummar Gadhafi this week.

CNN and FNC joyously displayed Gadhafi being beaten. Later they displayed displayed Gadhafi’s corpse.

Don’t get me wrong. Gadhafi’s deserved to die, but not like this.

The Russians, Chinese, and Amnesty International jumped in to say that the brutal killing of the evil dictator was a breach of international law.

It was!

So who is really to blame? Was it the rabble that U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama supported? He could have sent in troops to capture the evil one in those last days and avoided all of this.

Therefore it is Obama’s fault. Feckless indecisive leadership here in America is the reason for this brutal display.

Russia and China are right. Once again Obama’s lack of leadership leaves America looking bad before the world.

Vote NO on all the proposed Texas Amendments

On Nov. 8, Texas voters will get a chance to vote on 10 proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution.

These are constitutional amendments and once they are approved — by the voters — then they are part of the Texas Constitution. It would require an amendment to the state Constitution to repeal any one of them.

Proposed Amendment No. 1 really irks me.

Back in the 1970's after the war in Southeast Asia, Texas voters approved special Disabled Veterans license plates. You have all seen them. These vets could receive a tax break on the licensing of their cars. It sounded fair. I'm for the veterans. I'm a veteran myself.

I expected to see old junk cars sporting these tags with crippled veterans getting out and riding off in wheelchairs. What I saw were healthy people — some driving Cadillac's — driving up and stepping out looking like the very picture of health. GULP! What's wrong with this picture?

Well fool me once, but not a second time.

Proposed Amendment No. 1 would authorize "the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad valorem taxation of all or part of the market value of the residence homestead of the surviving spouse of a 100 percent or totally disabled veteran."

Listen up folks! All military people volunteered for service. We thank them. We live up to whatever we promised them ... if we can afford it. That's all!

So I'm a "disabled" vet. ( ... which I am not!) I'm living in a $200,000 house with a FREDDIE MAC / FANNIE MAE government subsidized sub-prime loan (...which I don't) ... and I want a tax break? (...which I am not asking for!)

Sure! It's like I can't wait to give you a tax break so the powers that be can jack up MY taxes to pay for the loss in revenue.

No way! Like I say, Fool me once, but not again!

Union movement founded on violence, steeped in corruption

"...let's take these son-of-a-bitches out ...." — Jimmy Hoffa referring to the Tea Party during a speech at a Labor Day rally.

"A defiant Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa insisted Tuesday that he would 'never apologize' for his heated comments against the tea party movement." — Politico.com

Of course Jimmy Hoffa, leader of the Teamsters Union, would refuse to back off of his statement.

This brings up the memories of the violence associated with the union movement. Even Hoffa's father went missing and is presumed to be the victim of a mob hit.

This is a brief history of the union movement in the United States.

The union movement got start around 1869. Railroads, steel, and coal mining employed large numbers of unskilled and skilled laborers. Workers historically organized along trades. For example, locomotive engineers organized into their own "brotherhoods".

The American Federation of Labor (AFL) started as one such union of skilled workers. The Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) was the opposite. It organized industries rather than skills and trades.

Unions were benign until radicals gained control. One of those was Eugene V. Debs, who was once a locomotive driver until 1875. Then he turned socialist. Debs engineered the infamous Pullman strike of 1894. He was not directly involved in the strike against the railroad car manufacturer in Chicago, but he organized an associated strike in the Western U.S. The president called in troops to restore order. As a result, Debs, was sent to prison for violating a court order.

Debs went on to serve another term in prison for sedition. He formed the Socialist Party and ran for president while sitting in a prison cell.

In 1952, John F. Kennedy initially gained fame in U.S. Congress by launching "...relentless attacks on corrupt labor leaders, especially Jimmy Hoffa of the Teamsters Union," according to Conservapedia.com.

Hoffa (the father) was sent to prison for bribery and misuse of union funds. He was pardoned by President Richard Nixon. In 1975, Hoffa, who was purported to have ties to the mob, disappeared.

This reporter's first look at unions was in 1973, when my editor sent me to cover a bus drivers' strike meeting in San Antonio. Suddenly, my view of unions changed. The country was in a fuel and energy crisis. The union decided to use the squeeze on commuters to ask for a raise. Ridership had been declining for years. The bus driver pay raise and subsequent rate hikes only continued the downward spiral of ridership.

San Antonio had a thriving meat-packing industry in the late 1960's. The unionization of workers drove the meat packers into more profitable centers such as Omaha, Nebraska. Meat packing was a large employer in Fort Worth, Texas, too. All that is left is rubble.

Farrah, a men's clothing manufacturer, was run out of San Antonio with constant strikes and union activities including violence. (read more ...) Farah eventually moved all of its operations and jobs to Mexico.

I covered many union "events" organized by the a segment of city workers in San Antonio. The union leader was a man I can never forget. His name was Henry Munoz. They called him The Fox. I had the experience of standing outside a union hall on the west side of San Antonio listening through the door to The Fox talking to his minions.

In Waco, Texas, the General Tire and Rubber Co. operated an aging tire plant. The plant was a major employer in Waco for decades. In 1970's, the union struck for wage increases. The company was forced to close the plant, which has stood vacant for more than 30 years. That section of Waco, the east side, stands as one of the poorest areas of Texas. One worker I know lost his job at General Tire and moved to Paris, Texas, to work for Campbell Soup Company making soup.

Union racketeering and violence has always been part of the union movement. Are unions still violent and corrupt?

"Most people don't know just how many crimes are committed every year through which union officials hurt their own members. The number of reputed and verified crimes is staggering. Nothing illustrates this more clearly than the hundreds of indictments of union officials for violations of the Labor Management and Reporting Disclosure Act. According to the Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS), those crimes include “embezzlement, filing false reports, keeping false records, destruction of records, extortionate picketing and deprivation of rights by violence.” -- The Center for Union Facts, unionfacts.com

In the 1970's I covered the aftermath of violence at an insulation plant in Belton, Texas. After weeks of an ineffectual efforts to organize workers at the plant, someone firebombed the plant's administration office. I drove to the office and talked to the manager who I had interviewed a few weeks earlier. The windows were smashed and fires had scorched the sides of the building.

The manager, who looked ashen-faced, handed me a prepared press released and refused to comment. I walked across the street and talked to a group of people holding signs. A leader stepped up and identified himself as being from Detroit.

We chatted casually about the strike and the cause of the strike. Then I asked if someone in his union was responsible for the firebombs thrown overnight.

"If you put that in the paper, we are going to come after you!" he responded. He tone and demeanor became very abusive. The story did run in the paper, and I am still here.

For the most part, the news media has been very kind to unions. But when the reporters ask the "wrong" questions, that cordiality ends very quickly, I found that day.

More and more investors are turning away from stocks and bonds and buying gold. World securities markets here and in the Euro Zone are uncertain. The real price of the U.S. Dollar is going down along with the Euro.

“…some central banks are starting to buy gold,” Richard O'Brien, chief executive officer of Newmont Mining Corp., told the Journal recently.

Both national and local government have become more pervasive and intrusive. Many people see these entities as their "salvation" and many more have turned away from the time-honored religion of the past.

Is this a temporary phenomenon or is socialized government, healthcare, and group thinking replacing God?

It's all in the propaganda machine and who controls it. For several decades the liberals have controlled television, newspapers, and motion picture entertainment. Almost every facet of media is laden with propaganda trumpeting the liberal agenda.

The ruling elites can and do create a false sense that they through the government can do everything from create life-giving miracles, save the planet, to producing a pseudo-jesus and pseudo “mother mary”.

Take the example of Barack Obama who came onto the national scene suddenly in 2007. Too suddenly for anyone to know much about Obama. Does he make the perfect "jesus" with a slogan Hope and Change? Lady Gaga emerged at almost the same time. Could she be the "mother mary" of the Information-Instant-Gratification Age? They all have a political message that leans far to the left.

The propaganda elites can -- when it is expedient -- allow them to be pseudo-crucified and move on to another set of pseudo-religious icons.

The propaganda machine can create devils and demons and super heroes. Adolph Hitler is the demon while Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, Karl Marx, and Mao are heroes to some. They were all responsible for millions of deaths. Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, who have set up or led brutal mind-numbing dictatorships are heroes to others.

Many ordinary people have given over their children to be educated by these godless elite. This blogger sees them emerging as little carbon-copy "pseudo-disciples" with song, "texting", and mind-altering drugs to create that smoky, pseudo-religious euphoria that becomes like a group hypnotic trance.

We see this in the mindless rhetoric of these pseudo disciples in the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Is the NFL, NBA, and MLB part of the pseudo-fulfillment (distraction) needed to make all this work?

Pat Caddell commented on the night of the 2008 presidential election that "liberal politics trumps religion".

This may be more true than we want to believe.

Pork Chop Hill and the legacy of the American voter

The MGM cable channel recently released a vintage movie, Pork Chop Hill.

It was released in 1959 and was based on an actual account of the last battle of the Korean War. I remember where I was when I saw it in 1959. It was at a theater in Mexia, Texas. I don’t remember the name of my date.

I was very interested in this motion picture story because the movie was based on a book written by historian and author Brig. Gen. S.L.A. Marshall He was known as SLAM to his friends. I have read every book he wrote.

I first remember Gen. Marshall in an interview he gave to CBS news in 1967 before the Israeli-Arab war. When every political pundit had predicted dire consequences for the outnumber Israelis, Marshall assessed that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) was a small professional army that could easily handle the Arabs who had overwhelming numbers of poorly trained and poorly motivated men.

He was right! In six days, the IDF was on the banks of the Nile and outside the gates of Damascus. The Arabs asked for peace.

Marshall died in 1977 and left a legacy of controversy that even brews to this day.

He was a journalist who joined the U.S. Army during the Second World War. As a journalist his job was to document the events of WWII. Gen. Marshall went much further, and his findings told us something about ourselves that we really did not want to know, although we knew it all along.

Marshall’s studies revealed that only 20 percent of the soldiers in action ever fired their weapons. He went further and said that that ratio extends into private life, as well.

Whether it is on your job, in church, or political life only 20 percent of the people do 80 percent of the work. In political life, it may be even lower than that!

Economists call it the Pareto Principle. It goes like this:

80% of your profits come from 20% of your products
80% of your sales come from 20% of your sales staff!

In wealth, 20% of the people have 80% of the wealth. That’s where the controversy is … if you look at it as a socialist or a communist or a progressive.

Some people strive to be 80 percenters. A friend, who was an accountant, illustrates this principle. He worked for a Central Texas utility company in Killeen. He felt his and his wife’s interests would be best served if he could get a U.S. government Civil Service job which were were handed out like water. The U.S. Army and Department of Defense was the biggest employer in the area.

He finally got his wish and ended up in the Fort Hood accounting office. They gave him a pile of paper work to do. He did it and asked his supervisor for more.

He said his supervisor looked alarmed but gave him more work. This went on for a few days. The supervisor told him he was working too fast. “The principle here was to pace one’s self and always keep a backlog of work on your desk,” the supervisor advised him.

He was a 20 percenter. That working principle was not his style. He went back to civilian work.

As a journalist, I worked every writing beat on my last paper. I was rewarded with a supervisory position. I was the city editor with 10 writers and two photographers to give assignments and supervise. I edited all their copy and advised them where they need to improve. When I found slackers, I had them fired. In rising in my profession, I passed up several other people, who were employed longer than myself. They were resentful. They also did only the minimum amount of work to hold on to their jobs.

I eventually got a degree in computer science and moved on to another career. I went to work for nationwide retailer in their information technology department. My first cube mate had been there for more than four years. We became friends and socialized. In three years, I was his supervisor. Our friendship ended. He saw rewards as something that should be handed out for longevity, not achievement. I saw it the opposite way.

In local elections, such as the city council and school boards perhaps only three to 10 percent of the registered voters even vote. That is far short of the 20/80 rule. Even more dismal is the people who register to vote. Some estimates are that less than 50% of those eligible to register even do so.

My personal theory is that 80 percenters will perform if rewarded, first. For example, the Fox News Channel reported today that Wall Street protesters are being paid to protest. Unions are in my opinion made up of 80 percenters. Unions do give their members incentive to protest, strike, and work for political candidates.

Unions are a disincentive to work harder and innovate. For example, England once boasted the finest automobile industry in the world. The unions through the Labor Party took over the government and the government took over the auto companies. Today, all of the British auto manufacturers are out of business.

Back to Pork Chop Hill …

Gregory Peck played the lead character, Lt. Joe Clemons. Capt. Joe Clemons (the same) was advisor on the movie and was named in the credits.

The movie depicts Lt. Clemons pushing his troops up the hill and exhorting them to “use your weapons!” Some soldiers were cooking up excuses to go back to the company aid station. One soldier was wandering around in a daze with no rifle.

The book was an allegory to American life and a study in leadership. Clemons overcame every obstacle and captured the hill. The lieutenant was a leader. He accepted the challenge, and shaped his effort in to meet achieve that objective.

Obama on he other hand is someone who was a product of a entitlement society. From all accounts his academic career was specially shaped for a minority. He spent his time working his way up through 80 percenters. He was elected by 80 percenters.

Now that his policies have failed, his objective is not to achieve but to blame someone. His objective his turned to just get re-elected.

It's was good thing that this country was conceived and built by 20 percenters.

The legacy of the first Do Nothing Congress

The liberal cable media and the left-wing main stream media are referring to the current Congress as the Do Nothing Congress.

The Tea Party conservatives have succeed in stopping the runaway spending by the Obama-Pelosi-Reed Spend-a-crats. Yet much still must be done to bring the economy back.

But where did this term Do Nothing Congress originate?

It was first used by Democrat President Harry S Truman in describing the 80^th Congress. It worked to gain his re-election, too.

Here’s what happened.

In 1946, the spending by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal and the Second World War left the United States strapped with huge debts. In fact, debt was 100 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) just as it is now.

Republicans swept into power in the elections of 1946 and controlled both the House of Representatives and the Senate. The GOP immediately set about reversing the laws passed during the New Deal and Truman’s Fair Deal.

The Do Nothing Congress also took over the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) investigated communist influence in Hollywood and elsewhere. Truman denounced the HUAC, but documents seized after the fall of the Soviet Union revealed that some of Truman's and Roosevelt's top advisors were indeed working for the KGB.

You didn't bother to try to understand it. You just heard his promise of Hope and Change.

The economy was in the dump and the candidate promised you a bailout for your home which was underwater. In fact, you heard the candidate promise a bailout for just about everyone.

Was that the way you saw it in August through November of 2008?

Well you may have a brain malfunction, a study shows.

Researchers at the University of London have found that those who ignored negative information and only focused on Hope and Change have a brain disorder. (read more)

Can we believe polls?

Rasmussen, Gallop, Pew, and Real Clear Politics. These are all polls that some of us live by from day to day. Marketers rely on polls. Politicians live and die by polls. Sadly, some vote by polls.

But now comes an article in Scientific American by Charles Seife that sheds new light on polls and those who report on polls. The poll in question was released in September and concerned a “religion test” of 32 questions. It pitted atheists/agnostics against several groups of believers.

The poll seemed to show that non-believers know more about religion than believers. Time magazine headlined “Atheists know more about religion than believers”.

The article’s author pointed out that a Pew’s research was flawed because the sample for non-believer was small and the statistical margin of error revealed that there was no difference between the two groups polled.

Nevertheless, the headlines screamed and once again the public shrugged it shoulders and some once again may have accepted these polls on face value.

But should we accept the results of polls? Back in the 1970’s a scandal rose over the so-called push-polls. Candidates conducted bogus polls by polling only those groups who would ordinarily voted for said candidate. The results was released to the media and touted in political ads. Sure enough, the results in the other polls followed the bogus push-poll.

“The press leaped on the atheists versus believers headlines without critically examining the numbers. The Pew study revealed less about our faith in God than it did about our faith in polls – which, far too often, is blind.” Seife said.

The article is in the December 2010 edition and is entitled, “The Science of ‘Disestimation’; Why we shouldn’t put our faith in opinion polls”.

Dems poised to lose Senate seats

The Democrats are poised to lose U.S. Senate seats in — Arkansas, Delaware, Indiana and North Dakota, says pollster Rasmussen.

The pollster believes the Democrats will hold onto the Senate:

…there are just nine states currently in the Toss-Up category. Outside of the Toss-Ups, current projections indicate that Democrats can probably count on having 49 Senate seats after Election Day, while Republicans will hold 42.

Conservatives need to win eight (8) of the nine toss up races to take over the Senate.

One Senate race that should be watched. Barbara Boxer (D-CA.) leads former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina by 48% to 43%. Some 5% says they would vote for some other candidate and 5% are undecided. It does not look good for Fiorina, whose conservative credentials are not that good.

Tea Party members need to support

these races now.

Obama economist melts down on Cavuto Show

Obama spent a TRILLION DOLLARS and has produced no net jobs gained.

When Neil Cavuto on the Fox News Channel put that question to Obama’s chief economist his answer was to obfuscate and to change the subject. Then when Cavuto pressed on the subject, he reverted to swearing.

On Friday the Dow ended the week down 400 points!
June unemployment was up by 125,000. LINK
500,000 jobless workers stopped receiving unemployment payments. They ran out of benefits.
The unemployment rate rose to 9.5% only because of the 500,000 workers lost their benefits.

Obama’s Approval: Long-term trends

President Barrack Obama has reverted to the campaign mode.

This became apparent Thursday in his “major speech” on immigration.

Fox News analysts say that Obama is in the campaign mode. This week besides his campaign style exaggerations about the failing economy, Obama seems to be reverting to what he believes worked for him in 2008.

Just maybe it won’t work this time.

The Wall Street Journal reported today that:

The economy shed jobs in June as meager private-sector hiring failed to make up for the end of thousands of temporary census worker jobs, the latest signal that an already-slow recovery might be shifting into an even lower gear.

The unemployment rate declined to 9.5% from 9.7% in May, but not because more jobs were available. Instead, 652,000 workers dropped out of the labor force, meaning they weren't counted as unemployed and looking for work.

The Rasmussen Poll reported that only 29% of the voters believe that Obama Stimulus helped the economy. Some 43% believe it harmed the economy.

Are Toyota’s Problems like the Audi 5000?

Fox News has been broadcasting a sound bite from Congressional hearings concerning the allegations that Toyota cars have a sudden and unintended acceleration problem.

The teary-eyed woman related her experience in Congress when her car went out of control on a highway. Reports are coming every day of people who say their Toyota and even Luxus’ are reported to be experiencing sudden and unintended acceleration problems. Toyota has said they are trying to fix the problem, but has denied that there is a sudden and unintended acceleration problem.

Congress is investigating. The owner and CEO of Toyota Motor Co. will testify before Congress. Fingers are pointing in every direction. So what is the problem? Who is at fault?

My mind flashes back to 1985. The German luxury car, the Audi 5000, came under attack. It started with a CBS 60 Minutes piece which presented several owners saying that sudden and unintended acceleration caused the death of their loved ones. CBS even showed an Audi’s accelerator moving on its own.

However, no one ever found a problem with the Audi 5000. The 60 Minutes producers admitted that they rigged the car to depress the accelerator. However, Audi lost sales. Owners lost the re-sale values in their luxury cars, and dealerships closed.

One thing is certain. A car will not move if the brakes are held down and the accelerator depressed all the way. Brakes have more power than the engines. Click here to read an article on that subject.

The small Japanese and European cars do have pedals close together. American are accustomed to widely spaced pedals. Could that be the fault? I don’t know.

I remember my aunt used to drive with her right foot on the accelerator and her left foot on the brake. I had a girlfriend who drove the same way. Many older women in my experience do drive that way. Could that be the problem? A panicked driver depresses the accelerator but honestly believes they are pressing the brake with their right foot?

Cars were made to be driven with the right foot operating both the accelerator and the brake – one at a time!

Back in 2006 through 2009, high gasoline prices drove many people to abandoned American-made cars and purchased smaller, Japanese cars.

One thing is certain. A 5,000-pound hunk of metal powered by a 150-horsepower engine is a dangerous machine. I grew up working on around heavy machinery. My twin brother and I have a healthy respect for machinery. Rule No. 1: Never stand behind or in front of a machine. After three decades, I still respect that protocol in the garage when my wife pulls in or backs out. Same is true in a parking lot. It’s my observation, that fear or respect for machines is not universal.

If it turns out that Toyota’s problem is all driver error, will the news media report it? I doubt it. They have their story. A major Japanese automaker is on the chopping block. Goodbye Toyota.

President Barack Obama yesterday praised Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe for voting for the Healthcare billl in committee. According to Obama, his healthcare bill now has bi-partisan support.

But wait! Sen. Snowe is a RINO, a Republican in Name ONLY. This is the same senator who was elected in 1994 when the Republicans swept both houses of Congress. Little thanks did she have for the Republican agenda. She preceded to vote against the resolution that would have sent Impeached and failed President Bill Clinton packing. After that “victory” Clinton invited Snowe to the White House for an “After the Impeachment” Victory Party.

Snowe is not the first Maine senator out of step with the times. In the 1950’s Maine had a notable GOP Senator in Margaret Chase Smith. Chase Smith has the distinction of being the first woman whose name was put up for nomination for president of the United State. That was the year that the Republicans embraced Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater for president.

Chase Smith is also the author of the little known Declaration of Conscience in June 1, 1950. Her declaration was a reaction to the Red Scare. One of the leaders in Congress was her fellow senator Joseph McCarthy.

Chase Smith unveiled her Declaration of Conscience on the floor of the Senate. It declared:

The right to criticize;
The right to hold an unpopular belief;
The right to protest;
The right to independent thought.

Her Declaration was debated for a while, but her timing was terrible. Only 24 days later, the North Korean Army launched an invasion across the 38th parallel and started the Korean War. No one cared about the Chase Smith’s epistle after that.

Chase Smith’s seat eventually went over to Maine’s other senator Susan Collins. She, incidentally, is the other RINO in the senate.

The Real conservative of that era and of all eras remains Goldwater. What would he say today?

Kinnock was struggling to beat Thatcher when on June 7, 1983, he pinned the famous liberal speech. Here is the full text of the speech:

Kundra was not a suspect in the case, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.
• Has a masters from Maryland in information technology.

Use the words fail or failure generously when mentioning Obama. Those words get picked up and associated. Example: He’s Obama, the leader of the Obama Regime, and he’s a failed president.
Also use communism or socialism when mentioning Obama, his regime or his failed presidency. Example: The Obama regime’s venture into overt socialism and his association with avowed communists have contributed to the regime’s failure.

Democrats continue to claim that their health care legislation will not increase the federal deficit, even though the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has revealed the truth: the bill actually increases the deficit by $239 billion. One of the reasons it’s so expensive is the plethora of new federal government programs it would create. House Republican Leader John Boehner offered the following comment:

“The American people’s number one concern about health care is controlling cost, so it is baffling that Democrats have put together a $1.5 trillion bill that actually increases the deficit in order to create 53 new government programs. Analysis: Current HC Undermined by Democrats' Government Takeover

Democrats’ number one talking point about health care is that if you like your current health coverage, you can keep it.

That would be reassuring if it were true, but it is not.

In fact, their legislation would undermine the Employee Retirement Security Act (ERISA), putting government bureaucrats in charge of decisions that should be made by small businesses and other employers working with their employees.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH), who worked on ERISA-related issues for years as Chairman of the House Education and Workforce Committee, made the following comment:

“Real health care reform should start with the Hippocratic Oath: first, do no harm.

But the Democrats’ government takeover legislation will undermine the law that has guaranteed American workers quality retirement security and health coverage for decades.

We can do better. We need to hit the ‘reset’ button, scrap this leviathan of a bill, and work together on bipartisan reforms that make sense.”

Here are just a few examples of how the House Democrats’ bill erodes the ability of small businesses, other employers, and workers to exercise their rights and obligations under ERISA:

Section 142 – The House bill says that after a five-year grace period all ERISA insurance offerings will have to win government approval—both by the Department of Labor and a new “Health Choices Commissioner” who will set federal standards for what is an acceptable health plan. The commissioner can fine employers that don’t comply and even has “suspension of enrollment” powers for plans that he or she has vetoed, until “satisfied that the basis for such determination has been corrected and is not likely to recur.”

Section 261 – This section, included in the Chairman’s Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute at the Education and Labor Committee markup, provides for automatic federal waivers to ERISA for states that enact single-payer health care systems. Waivers to ERISA would preclude employers from offering consistent benefits. The practical effect of this section is that workers receiving health coverage from the same employer in different states could have wide disparities in coverage.

Sections 132 and 151 – These two sections provide for unlimited state law remedies for employer-sponsored health coverage obtained through health insurance exchanges. Litigation will increase under this provision, further driving up the cost of health insurance for millions of Americans.

Section 165 – This section, included in the Chairman’s Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute at the Education and Labor Committee markup, prohibits one of the core principles of ERISA, the voluntary nature of employee benefits, by imposing a prohibition on modifications to retiree health plans.

We can do better, and the American people deserve better. Let’s toss the Democrats’ government takeover in the dustbin, and work together on the common sense reforms they want and need.

Who is more likely to run up the red flag when they spot a narcissist than the Israeli Jews?

The Jews suffered under the most horrible narcissist of the 20th Century, one Adolf Hitler. Der Fuhrer and his cult following were responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and millions more non-Jews elsewhere.

A prominent Israeli psychologist has studied President Barack Obama. He says that Obama displays the signs of being a pathological narcissist. That psychologist is Dr. Sam Vaknin. He penned an article about Obama earlier. The source of this blog is Dr. Vaknin’s own website. LINK

This is what Dr. Vaknin wrote.

Granted, only a qualified mental health diagnostician can determine whether someone suffers from Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and this, following lengthy tests and personal interviews. [CLICK HERE TO] Read the disclaimer below. But, in the absence of access to Barack Obama, one has to rely on his overt performance and on testimonies by his closest, nearest and dearest.

Narcissistic leaders are nefarious and their effects pernicious. They are subtle, refined, socially-adept, manipulative, possessed of thespian skills, and convincing. Both types equally lack empathy and are ruthless and relentless or driven.

Obama’s childhood may have supported or triggered Obama’s narcissistic behavior, Dr. Vaknin writes:

Obama's early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations. Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old). Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then, his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia: a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. She died of cancer in 1995.

Pathological narcissism is a reaction to prolonged abuse and trauma in early childhood or early adolescence. The source of the abuse or trauma is immaterial: the perpetrators could be dysfunctional or absent parents, teachers, other adults, or peers.

Dr. Vaknin explained the behavioral patterns of a narcissist:

The narcissist:

Feels grandiose and self-important (e.g., exaggerates accomplishments, talents, skills, contacts, and personality traits to the point of lying, demands to be [recognized] as superior without commensurate achievements);

Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal,everlasting, all-conquering love or passion;

Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions);

Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation – or, failing that, wishes to be feared and to be notorious (Narcissistic Supply);

Feels entitled. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her unreasonable expectations for special and favourable priority treatment;

Is "interpersonally exploitative", i.e., uses others to achieve his or her own ends;

Devoid of empathy. Is unable or unwilling to identify with, acknowledge, or accept the feelings, needs, preferences, priorities, and choices of others;

Constantly envious of others and seeks to hurt or destroy the objects of his or her frustration. Suffers from persecutory (paranoid) delusions as he or she believes that they feel the same about him or her and are likely to act similarly;

Behaves arrogantly and haughtily. Feels superior, omnipotent, omniscient, invincible, immune, "above the law", and omnipresent (magical thinking). Rages when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted by people he or she considers inferior to him or her and unworthy.

Narcissism is a defense mechanism whose role is to deflect hurt and trauma from the victim's "True Self" into a "False Self" which is omnipotent, invulnerable, and omniscient. This False Self is then used by the narcissist to garner narcissistic supply from his human environment. Narcissistic supply is any form of attention, both positive and negative and it is instrumental in the regulation of the narcissist's labile sense of self-worth.

Perhaps the most immediately evident trait of patients with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is their vulnerability to criticism and disagreement. Subject to negative input, real or imagined, even to a mild rebuke, a constructive suggestion, or an offer to help, they feel injured, humiliated and empty and they react with disdain (devaluation), rage, and defiance.

From my book "Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited":

"To avoid such intolerable pain, some patients with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) socially withdraw and feign false modesty and humility to mask their underlying grandiosity. Dysthymic and depressive disorders are common reactions to isolation and feelings of shame and inadequacy."

Owing to their lack of empathy, disregard for others, exploitativeness, (sic) sense of entitlement, and constant need for attention (narcissistic supply), narcissists are rarely able to maintain functional and healthy interpersonal relationships.

Many narcissists are over-achievers and ambitious. Some of them are even talented and skilled. But they are incapable of team work because they cannot tolerate setbacks. They are easily frustrated and demoralized and are unable to cope with disagreement and criticism. Though some narcissists have meteoric and inspiring careers, in the long-run, all of them find it difficult to maintain long-term professional achievements and the respect and appreciation of their peers. The narcissist's fantastic grandiosity, frequently coupled with a hypomanic mood, is typically incommensurate with his or her real accomplishments (the "grandiosity gap").

An important distinction is between cerebral and somatic narcissists. The cerebrals derive their Narcissistic Supply from their intelligence or academic achievements and the somatics derive their Narcissistic Supply from their physique, exercise, physical or sexual prowess and romantic or physical "conquests".

Another crucial division within the ranks of patients with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is between the classic variety (those who meet five of the nine diagnostic criteria included in the DSM), and the compensatory kind (their narcissism compensates for deep-set feelings of inferiority and lack of self-worth).

Obama displays the following traits of a pathological narcissist, Dr. Vaknin writes:

Obama displays the following behaviors, which are among the hallmarks of pathological narcissism:

Subtly misrepresents facts and expediently and opportunistically shifts positions, views, opinions, and "ideals" (e.g., about campaign finance, re-districting). These flip-flops do not cause him overt distress and are ego-syntonic (he feels justified in acting this way). Alternatively, refuses to commit to a standpoint and, in the process, evidences a lack of empathy.

Ignores data that conflict with his fantasy world, or with his inflated and grandiose self-image. This has to do with magical thinking. Obama already sees himself as president because he is firmly convinced that his dreams, thoughts, and wishes affect reality. [Editor’s Note: This was written before the election.] Additionally, he denies the gap between his fantasies and his modest or limited real-life achievements (for instance, in 12 years of academic career, he hasn't published a single scholarly paper or book).

Feels that he is above the law, incl. and especially his own laws.

Talks about himself in the 3rd person singular or uses the regal "we" and craves to be the exclusive center of attention, even adulation

Has a messianic-cosmic vision of himself and his life and his "mission". Consequently, sets unrealistic goals within unrealistic timeframes.

Sets ever more complex rules in a convoluted world of grandiose fantasies with its own language (jargon)

Displays false modesty and unctuous "folksiness" but unable to sustain these behaviors (the persona, or mask) for long. It slips and the true Obama is revealed: haughty, aloof, distant, and disdainful of simple folk and their lives.

Sublimates aggression and holds grudges.

Behaves as an eternal adolescent (e.g., his choice of language, youthful image he projects, demands indulgence and feels entitled to special treatment, even though his objective accomplishments do not justify it).

Dr. Vaknin writes that narcissists display a distinct body language.

Many complain of the incredible deceptive powers of the narcissist. They find themselves involved with narcissists (emotionally, in business, or otherwise) before they have a chance to discover their true character. Shocked by the later revelation, they mourn their inability to separate from the narcissist and their gullibility.

Narcissists are an elusive breed, hard to spot, harder to pinpoint, impossible to capture. Even an experienced mental health diagnostician with unmitigated access to the record and to the person examined would find it fiendishly difficult to determine with any degree of certainty whether someone suffers from a full fledged Narcissistic Personality Disorder – or merely possesses narcissistic traits, a narcissistic style, a personality structure ("character"), or a narcissistic "overlay" superimposed on another mental health problem.

Moreover, it is important to distinguish between traits and behavior patterns that are independent of the patient's cultural-social context (i.e., which are inherent, or idiosyncratic) – and reactive patterns, or conformity to cultural and social morals and norms. Reactions to severe life crises or circumstances are also often characterized by transient pathological narcissism, for instance (Ronningstam and Gunderson, 1996). But such reactions do not a narcissist make.

When a person belongs to a society or culture that has often been described as narcissistic by scholars (such as Theodore Millon) and social thinkers (e.g., Christopher Lasch) – how much of his behavior can be attributed to his milieu and which of his traits are really his?

The Narcissistic Personality Disorder is rigorously defined in the DSM IV-TR with a set of strict criteria and differential diagnoses.

Narcissism is regarded by many scholars to be an adaptative strategy ("healthy narcissism"). It is considered pathological in the clinical sense only when it becomes a rigid personality structure replete with a series of primitive defence mechanisms (such as splitting, projection, projective identification, or intellectualization) – and when it leads to dysfunctions in one or more areas of the patient's life.

Pathological narcissism is the art of deception. The narcissist projects a False Self and manages all his social interactions through this concocted fictional construct.

When the narcissist reveals his true colors, it is usually far too late. His victims are unable to separate from him. They are frustrated by this acquired helplessness and angry at themselves for having they failed to see through the narcissist earlier on.

But the narcissist does emit subtle, almost subliminal, signals ("presenting symptoms") even in a first or casual encounter.

Then Dr. Vaknin describes Obama’s body language exhibited during his public appearances:

These are:

"Haughty" body language – The narcissist adopts a physical posture which implies and exudes an air of superiority, seniority, hidden powers, mysteriousness, amused indifference, etc. Though the narcissist usually maintains sustained and piercing eye contact, he often refrains from physical proximity (he is "territorial").

The narcissist takes part in social interactions – even mere banter – condescendingly, from a position of supremacy and faux "magnanimity and largesse". But he rarely mingles socially and prefers to remain the "observer", or the "lone wolf".

Entitlement markers – The narcissist immediately asks for "special treatment" of some kind. Not to wait his turn, to have a longer or a shorter therapeutic session, to talk directly to authority figures (and not to their assistants or secretaries), to be granted special payment terms, to enjoy custom tailored arrangements - or to get served first.

The narcissist is the one who – vocally and demonstratively – demands the undivided attention of the head waiter in a restaurant, or monopolizes the hostess, or latches on to celebrities in a party. The narcissist reacts with rage and indignantly when denied his wishes and if treated equally with others whom he deems inferior.

Idealization or devaluation – The narcissist instantly idealizes or devalues his interlocutor. This depends on how the narcissist appraises the potential his converser has as a Narcissistic Supply Source. The narcissist flatters, adores, admires and applauds the "target" in an embarrassingly exaggerated and profuse manner – or sulks, abuses, and humiliates her.

Narcissists are polite only in the presence of a potential Supply Source. But they are unable to sustain even perfunctory civility and fast deteriorate to barbs and thinly-veiled hostility, to verbal or other violent displays of abuse, rage attacks, or cold detachment.

The "membership" posture – The narcissist always tries to "belong". Yet, at the very same time, he maintains his stance as an outsider. The narcissist seeks to be admired for his ability to integrate and ingratiate himself without investing the efforts commensurate with such an undertaking.

For instance: if the narcissist talks to a psychologist, the narcissist first states emphatically that he never studied psychology. He then proceeds to make seemingly effortless use of obscure professional terms, thus demonstrating that he mastered the discipline all the same, as an autodidact – which proves that he is exceptionally intelligent or introspective.

In general, the narcissist always prefers show-off to substance. One of the most effective methods of exposing a narcissist is by trying to delve deeper. The narcissist is shallow, a pond pretending to be an ocean. He likes to think of himself as a Renaissance man, a Jack of all trades. The narcissist never admits to ignorance in any field – yet, typically, he is ignorant of them all. It is surprisingly easy to penetrate the gloss and the veneer of the narcissist's self-proclaimed omniscience.

Bragging and false autobiography – The narcissist brags incessantly. His speech is peppered with "I", "my", "myself", and "mine". He describes himself as intelligent, or rich, or modest, or intuitive, or creative – but always excessively, implausibly, and extraordinarily so.

The narcissist's biography sounds unusually rich and complex. His achievements – incommensurate with his age, education, or renown. Yet, his actual condition is evidently and demonstrably incompatible with his claims. Very often, the narcissist lies or his fantasies are easily discernible. He always name-drops and appropriates other people's experiences and accomplishments.

Emotion-free language – The narcissist likes to talk about himself and only about himself. He is not interested in others or what they have to say, unless they constitute potential Sources of Supply and in order to obtain said supply. He acts bored, disdainful, even angry, if he feels that they are intruding on his precious time and, thus, abusing him.

In general, the narcissist is very impatient, easily bored, with strong attention deficits – unless and until he is the topic of discussion. One can publicly dissect all aspects of the intimate life of a narcissist without repercussions, providing the discourse is not "emotionally tinted".

If asked to relate directly to his emotions, the narcissist intellectualizes, rationalizes, speaks about himself in the third person and in a detached "scientific" tone or composes a narrative with a fictitious character in it, suspiciously autobiographical. Narcissists like to refer to themselves in mechanical terms, as efficient automata or machines.

Seriousness and sense of intrusion and coercion – The narcissist is dead serious about himself. He may possess a subtle, wry, and riotous sense of humor, scathing and cynical, but rarely is he self-deprecating. [editors note: Like making fun of the Special Olympics?] The narcissist regards himself as being on a constant mission, whose importance is cosmic and whose consequences are global. If a scientist – he is always in the throes of revolutionizing science. If a journalist – he is in the middle of the greatest story ever. If a novelist - he is on his way to a Booker or Nobel prize.

This self-misperception is not amenable to light-headedness or self-effacement. The narcissist is easily hurt and insulted (narcissistic injury). Even the most innocuous remarks or acts are interpreted by him as belittling, intruding, or coercive. His time is more valuable than others' – therefore, it cannot be wasted on unimportant matters such as mere banter or going out for a walk.

Any suggested help, advice, or concerned inquiry are immediately cast by the narcissist as intentional humiliation, implying that the narcissist is in need of help and counsel and, thus, imperfect and less than omnipotent. Any attempt to set an agenda is, to the narcissist, an intimidating act of enslavement. In this sense, the narcissist is both schizoid and paranoid and often entertains ideas of reference.

These – the lack of empathy, the aloofness, the disdain, the sense of entitlement, the constricted sense of humor, the unequal treatment and the paranoia – render the narcissist a social misfit. The narcissist is able to provoke in his milieu, in his casual acquaintances, even in his psychotherapist, the strongest, most avid and furious hatred and revulsion. To his shock, indignation and consternation, he invariably induces in others unbridled aggression.

He is perceived to be asocial at best and, often, antisocial. This, perhaps, is the strongest presenting symptom. One feels ill at ease in the presence of a narcissist for no apparent reason. No matter how charming, intelligent, thought provoking, outgoing, easy going and social the narcissist is – he fails to secure the sympathy of others, a sympathy he is never ready, willing, or able to reciprocate.

The narcissistic or psychopathic leader is the culmination and reification of his period, culture, and civilization. He is likely to rise to prominence in narcissistic societies.

The malignant narcissist invents and then projects a false, fictitious, self for the world to fear, or to admire. He maintains a tenuous grasp on reality to start with and this is further exacerbated by the trappings of power. The narcissist's grandiose self-delusions and fantasies of omnipotence and omniscience are supported by real life authority and the narcissist's predilection to surround himself with obsequious sycophants.

The narcissist's personality is so precariously balanced that he cannot tolerate even a hint of criticism and disagreement. Most narcissists are paranoid and suffer from ideas of reference (the delusion that they are being mocked or discussed when they are not). Thus, narcissists often regard themselves as "victims of persecution".

The narcissistic leader fosters and encourages a personality cult with all the hallmarks of an institutional religion: priesthood, rites, rituals, temples, worship, catechism, mythology. The leader is this religion's ascetic saint. He monastically denies himself earthly pleasures (or so he claims) in order to be able to dedicate himself fully to his calling.

The narcissistic leader is a monstrously inverted Jesus, sacrificing his life and denying himself so that his people - or humanity at large - should benefit. By surpassing and suppressing his humanity, the narcissistic leader became a distorted version of Nietzsche's "superman".

But being a-human or super-human also means being a-sexual and a-moral.

In this restricted sense, narcissistic leaders are post-modernist and moral relativists. They project to the masses an androgynous figure and enhance it by engendering the adoration of nudity and all things "natural" - or by strongly repressing these feelings. But what they refer to as "nature" is not natural at all.

The narcissistic leader invariably proffers an aesthetic of decadence and evil carefully orchestrated and artificial - though it is not perceived this way by him or by his followers. Narcissistic leadership is about reproduced copies, not about originals. It is about the manipulation of symbols - not about veritable atavism or true conservatism.

In short: narcissistic leadership is about theatre, not about life. To enjoy the spectacle (and be subsumed by it), the leader demands the suspension of judgment, depersonalization, and de-realization. Catharsis is tantamount, in this narcissistic dramaturgy, to self-annulment.

Narcissism is nihilistic not only operationally, or ideologically. Its very language and narratives are nihilistic. Narcissism is conspicuous nihilism - and the cult's leader serves as a role model, annihilating the Man, only to re-appear as a pre-ordained and irresistible force of nature.

Narcissistic leadership often poses as a rebellion against the "old ways" - against the hegemonic culture, the upper classes, the established religions, the superpowers, the corrupt order. Narcissistic movements are puerile, a reaction to narcissistic injuries inflicted upon a narcissistic (and rather psychopathic) toddler nation-state, or group, or upon the leader.

Minorities or "others" - often arbitrarily selected - constitute a perfect, easily identifiable, embodiment of all that is "wrong". They are accused of being old, they are eerily disembodied, they are cosmopolitan, they are part of the establishment, they are "decadent", they are hated on religious and socio-economic grounds, or because of their race, sexual orientation, origin ... They are different, they are narcissistic (feel and act as morally superior), they are everywhere, they are defenceless, they are credulous, they are adaptable (and thus can be co-opted to collaborate in their own destruction). They are the perfect hate figure. Narcissists thrive on hatred and pathological envy.

This is precisely the source of the fascination with Hitler, diagnosed by Erich Fromm - together with Stalin - as a malignant narcissist. He was an inverted human. His unconscious was his conscious. He acted out our most repressed drives, fantasies, and wishes. He provides us with a glimpse of the horrors that lie beneath the veneer, the barbarians at our personal gates, and what it was like before we invented civilization. Hitler forced us all through a time warp and many did not emerge. He was not the devil. He was one of us. He was what Arendt aptly called the banality of evil. Just an ordinary, mentally disturbed, failure, a member of a mentally disturbed and failing nation, who lived through disturbed and failing times. He was the perfect mirror, a channel, a voice, and the very depth of our souls.

The narcissistic leader prefers the sparkle and glamour of well-orchestrated illusions to the tedium and method of real accomplishments. His reign is all smoke and mirrors, devoid of substances, consisting of mere appearances and mass delusions. In the aftermath of his regime - the narcissistic leader having died, been deposed, or voted out of office - it all unravels. The tireless and constant prestidigitation ceases and the entire edifice crumbles. What looked like an economic miracle turns out to have been a fraud-laced bubble. Loosely-held empires disintegrate. Laboriously assembled business conglomerates go to pieces. "Earth shattering" and "revolutionary" scientific discoveries and theories are discredited. Social experiments end in mayhem.

It is important to understand that the use of violence must be ego-syntonic. It must accord with the self-image of the narcissist. It must abet and sustain his grandiose fantasies and feed his sense of entitlement. It must conform with the narcissistic narrative.

Thus, a narcissist who regards himself as the benefactor of the poor, a member of the common folk, the representative of the disenfranchised, the champion of the dispossessed against the corrupt elite - is highly unlikely to use violence at first.

The pacific mask crumbles when the narcissist has become convinced that the very people he purported to speak for, his constituency, his grassroots fans, the prime sources of his narcissistic supply - have turned against him. At first, in a desperate effort to maintain the fiction underlying his chaotic personality, the narcissist strives to explain away the sudden reversal of sentiment. "The people are being duped by (the media, big industry, the military, the elite, etc.)", "they don't really know what they are doing", "following a rude awakening, they will revert to form", etc.

When these flimsy attempts to patch a tattered personal mythology fail - the narcissist is injured. Narcissistic injury inevitably leads to narcissistic rage and to a terrifying display of unbridled aggression. The pent-up frustration and hurt translate into devaluation. That which was previously idealized - is now discarded with contempt and hatred.

This primitive defense mechanism is called "splitting". To the narcissist, things and people are either entirely bad (evil) or entirely good. He projects onto others his own shortcomings and negative emotions, thus becoming a totally good object. A narcissistic leader is likely to justify the butchering of his own people by claiming that they intended to kill him, undo the revolution, devastate the economy, or the country, etc.

The "small people", the "rank and file", the "loyal soldiers" of the narcissist - his flock, his nation, his employees - they pay the price. The disillusionment and disenchantment are agonizing. The process of reconstruction, of rising from the ashes, of overcoming the trauma of having been deceived, exploited and manipulated - is drawn-out. It is difficult to trust again, to have faith, to love, to be led, to collaborate. Feelings of shame and guilt engulf the erstwhile followers of the narcissist. This is his sole legacy: a massive post-traumatic stress disorder.

So, the liberals were quick to adapt, and called it KennedyCare with the hopes of capitalizing on all of the good will and around-the-clock media coverage that engulfed the airwaves for the past few days.

So, why are congressional liberals so hell-bent on passing a wildly unpopular, government-run health care program? Because to them, it’s not even about health care anymore!

House Minority Leader John Boehner has uncovered explosive new revelations. You won’t believe what’s contained within the bill – it’s LOADED with special interest projects!

So, the liberals are desperate to pass their bill so as to bring home more power to the unions, trial lawyers and THIS:

Page 95; Section 205 – The bill directs the “Health Choices Commissioner” to conduct outreach activities, including through the use of outside organizations such as ACORN and others, to reach out and enroll exchange-eligible individuals and employers.

ACORN?! Unreal. Had enough?

How about this little nugget?

Page 53; Section 154 – The bill ensures that the new federal health care program will set a floor (but not a ceiling) for health care negotiations for unionized employers. The legislation cannot be construed to excuse them from good-faith bargaining over health care benefits. Furthermore, it will not permit unionized employers to unilaterally drop health coverage of its employees in favor of shunting them into the government-run plan or simply paying the penalty associated with not offering health care benefits to workers.

Can you believe it?!

With this bill, the liberals are intent on giving everyone power EXCEPT the taxpayers!

While you and I work each day, diligently paying the taxes that will foot this bill, the liberals in Congress have turned this bill into a playground for labor unions!

There’s more – this time it’s a nice kickback for trial lawyers:

Pages 533-551; Section 1412 – The bill requires the Comptroller General of the U.S. to conduct a study examining: “(A) the extent to which corporations that own or operate large numbers of nursing facilities … are undercapitalizing such facilities; (B) the effects of such undercapitalization on quality of care, including staffing and food costs, at such facilities; (C) options to address such undercapitalization, such as requirements relating to surety bonds, liability insurance, or minimum capitalization.” This provision primarily benefits trial lawyers who sue nursing homes.

Have you had enough yet?

This is what the liberals envision as KennedyCare. That’s some legacy to leave him, huh?

No matter how you feel about Sen. Kennedy, naming a pork-laden, special interest bill in his name is just plain wrong.

Yet, congressional liberals will stop at nothing until they can pay back their valued constituencies, no matter what the price – paid by YOU, the taxpayer.

Enough is enough. It’s time to put an end to Obama/Kennedy/GovernmentCare for GOOD.

DETAILED ANALYSIS: DEMOCRATS’ GOV-ERNMENT TAKEOVER GIVES UNCHECKED POWER TO NEW “HEALTH CARE CZAR”

One of the most potentially frightening – and little understood – concerns about House Democrats’ government takeover of health care is the unprecedented power given to a new federal bureaucrat, the “Health Choices Commissioner.” As the name implies, rather than giving more choices to the American people, the Democrats’ bill lets a government employee make choices that should be made by families and doctors. House Republican Leader John Boehner made the following comment:

“The American people want two things from health care reform: lower costs and more choices. Yet Democrats have done exactly the opposite, coming up with a bill that actually raises costs – increasing the deficit by $240 billion – and letting a new federal bureaucrat make health care decisions that should be left to patients and their doctors. President Obama should make it clear he doesn’t support this ill-conceived legislation, and work with Republicans to craft a bipartisan bill that accomplishes the American peoples’ goals.”

The House Democrats’ bill gives unchecked power to a new “Health Choices Com-missioner” who will be so powerful that his or her title is referenced 182 times in the House Democrats bill. This bureaucrat would have the power to:

Pages 84-87; Section 203 - Decide which treatments patients could receive and at what cost.

Page 42; Section 142(a)(1) - Decide which private plans would be allowed to participate in the Exchange.

Page 40; Section 134 - Regulate all insurance plans, both in and out of the Exchange.

Page 80; Section 202(e) - Determine which employers would be allowed to participate in the Exchange.

Page 82; Section 202(f) - Determine how many and which Americans will be allowed to choose health coverage through the Exchange.

Page 90; Section 204(b) - Decide which physicians and hospitals participate in the government-run plan and in private plan provider networks.

Page 111-115; Section 208 – Deter-mine which states are allowed to operate their own Exchange and to terminate a previously-approved State Exchange at any time.

Page 87; Section 203(d) - Override state laws regarding covered health benefits.

Page 42; Section 142(a)(2) – Deter-mine how trillions of taxpayer and employer dollars would be spent within the Exchange.

Page 42; Section 142(a)(3) – Deter-mine who qualifies for premium assistance.

Page 97-99; Section 205 – Auto-matically enroll Americans into the Exchange if they don’t have coverage, including potentially forcing these individuals into the government-run plan.

Democrats should stop ignoring the will of the American people. They need to scrap this government takeover and work on common sense reforms to lower health care costs and increase access. Let’s hope after a long, hot summer back in their Congressional Districts, Democrats will be willing to do just that.

British Petroleum (BP) needed a deal with Libya to recover oil and gas.

Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gadaffi wanted to get his terrorist friend back home.

Scottish officials announced that they would release Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, for compassionate reasons. Al-Megrahi reportedly has terminal cancer. OUTRAGEOUS!

Boycott British Petroleum

The so-called Lockerbie Bomber killed more than 200 innocent people. He did not deserve compassionate release. But the Bloody British needed oil and British Petroleum needed a deal.

Al-Megrahi returned home. He was welcomed home like a hero. He served just 11 days of a life-time sentence for killing each victim!

British Petroleum got their deal. BP’s gasoline will flood into American service stations. Consumers will buy it, and everybody will be happy. Right? WRONG! Oil and blood do not mix!

Less than a week after the release, the Times of London released it’s bombshell on Sunday.

“The British government decided it was ‘in the overwhelming interests of the United Kingdom’ to make Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, eligible for return to Libya, leaked ministerial letters reveal.”

In their best interest? That is an outrage!

“Gordon Brown’s government made the de-cision after discussions between Libya and BP over a multi-million-pound oil ex-ploration deal had hit difficulties. These were resolved soon afterwards.

“The letters were sent two years ago by Jack Straw, the justice secretary, to Kenny MacAskill, his counterpart in Scotland, who has been widely criticised for taking the formal decision to permit Megrahi’s release,” the Times reported

Then the Times concluded:

“The correspondence makes it plain that the key decision to include Megrahi in a deal with Libya to allow prisoners to return home was, in fact, taken in London for British national interests.”

No one included the families of the 200 victims in the negotiations.

Fox Web Site Blows Away Competition

The Fox News Channel’s web site is blowing away all competitors.

I ran a comparison using the tools in Complete.com.

Fox News Channel has been leading all other media outlets in providing fair and balanced information about the Tea Party Movement, town hall rancor by angry voters, and the lies of the Obama-care spin machine.

Fox News’ web site reached almost 11 million unique visitors per month in June and July. These are the latest statistics for the web sites. August statistics are not available.

NBC.com (green line on the chart) took a big dip in June and continued to plummet in July. Meanwhile, CBS continues to lag. MSNBC.com is a distant fourth.

The New York Times web site hardly made the scale. All of the media giants except for Fox News is having trouble staying ahead of Drudgereport.com (not on this scale) which is an independent website with no associated TV channel.

An update on Obama-Care

At this point, I still believe some form Obama-care will become law. The Democrats have the votes. They can ram it through. Whether that benefits them in the long run is debatable.

Liberal Dynasty

But consider this: Obama-Care will be the Democrat’s flagship program like Social Security was 60 years ago. No matter how bad it is; the liberal media will provide cover. Democrats will tout their socialized medicine as the beginning of their socialist workers paradise.

At every national election, Democrats will scare voters by claiming that if they (the Democrats) lose the election the medical coverage that voters depend on will end. Of course, they will promise fixes and more funding in the healthcare system. This link show what the British liberals say at election time.

Obama-care is not about health. It’s about creating a socialist-Democrat dynasty in the United States!

Not Compatible With Open Borders

Free medical care and open borders are not compatible. Illegal aliens from the Caribbean, Central American, and South America will stream into the U.S.

The U.S. cannot fund a national health care system and a strong military. This has been the case in Europe where our NATO allies have all but pulled the plug on their military machines. There are hints that emaciating the military is one of the objectives of the socialists who support Obama-care.

Risky Lifestyles Will Cost Taxpayers

America is a nation of millions of people living risky lifestyles. Whether it is obesity, drug use, or promiscuous and deviant (and now legal) sexual activities, many of these Americans will need long-term medical care, paid for by the taxpayers who have lived non-risky life styles.

Many of the people, who exercise their “First Amendment rights” and mark their bodies with hideous tattoos, may one day face the the consequences. Hepatitis C and other viral diseases will require years and thousands of dollars of treatment. LINK to the Mayo Clinic.

Here is what I see Obama-care will introduce:

Abortions on demand will be paid for by public funding. LINK
Obama says illegal aliens will be denied Obama-care. That’s may or may not be correct right now. However, aliens can become eligible for medical care with a sweep of Obama’s hand through a presidential executive order or amnesty. However, one research service believes that HR-3200 (The House Obama-care bill.) does not exclude illegal aliens. LINK
If amnesty is extended to illegal aliens, they will immediately sponsor into this country their extended families. Estimates are that this will add another 120 million people eligible for HC into the U.S. LINK
The number of uninsured in the U.S. has been claimed to be as high as 94 million and as low as 47 million. The actual number is far less, according to the census. LINK to the Heritage Foundation. Link to image.
Whatever the real number of uninsured is, it will create a shortage of doctors, nurses, and hospital space.
Cost of a socialized medicine is far under-estimated. Even the Congressional Budget office confirms that the costs will be much much more than the Obama Regime claims. Link to CBO LINK
Access to medical care will be rationed or even denied if it is deemed to be too expensive.
Elderly citizens, who believe now that they are entitled to healthcare, will be denied because their lives will be determined to be too expensive to maintain. Rationing is the norm in the United Kingdom and every other nation where socialized medicine is.
Cancer patients will not be denied health insurance, but costs and rationing will cause Obama-care to denied to them the newest medicines and treatments if it is too expensive or not authorized. LINK
Current Medicare users will be squeezed. Obama-Care will cut $150 billion from Medicare Advantage. LINK
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that seniors will pay 20% more for drugs under Obama-care. LINK
Government sanctioned, doctor assisted suicide will become routine.
Doctors who were enthusiastic about helping mankind will slowly become crushed and lose enthusiasm under the bureaucracy. LINK
One plan to provide health care for only the uninsured is bogus because those who have insurance will drop it to get “free” healthcare. After all, they will correctly reason that they are paying for it.
Businesses who provide healthcare will be taxed to pay for those not on healthcare. These business may choose to drop their HC and tell employees to jump to the public option.
Many of those who are uninsured have chosen not to pay for health insurance for various reasons. Some are wealthy and would pay for medical care out of pocket. Those more affluent taxpayers will probably jump in and out of the health care system, depending on their own wishes.

Look At Socialized Med In Canada, U.K.

No one knows the future, but we can look at countries where socialized medicine is used today.

These health care systems are in chaos! For example:

Thirsty patients drink water from flower vases in the United Kingdom. LINK
U.K. mums give birth in toilets, corridors, elevators, and offices because there are no rooms. LINK
System-wide, the U.K. National Healthcare System (NHS) is short of qualified midwives. There are almost no OB-GYN births in the U.K. British mums get midwives, many from third-world countries.
Some 1,000 deaths one year alone in NHS were caused by the superbug MRSA. LINK
Ants, cockroaches, rats cause infections in U.K. NHS hospitals and clinics. LINK
Filthy U.K. hospitals threatened with closure. LINK
Patients become angry and frustrated over appallingly filthy hospitals. One lady patient was so appalled that she cleaned up her own ward while plugged into an IV. LINK
Disillusioned nurses are sometimes cruel to patients. LINK
U.K. hospitals still have wards and open bays. Space problems causes men and women to be put in the same wards! This has been reported in the British press. LINK

If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a TelePrompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of he is inept he is not on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM stock by 90% and give the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

Why is there no outcry when Obama makes so many gaffes in five months? The American public, taxpayers, and voters are being propagandized by the left-wing media.

After that Obama feeling stops sending a “tingling feeling” up the leg of the media, who will pay for Obama’s naïveté? Who will pay for the expanding national debt? Who will fill the jobs driven to China and India by Obama’s energy policies? Who will protect Israel when the North Koreans and Iranians get the bomb?

The question that started the entire brouhaha was the last question in the prime-time news conference on Health Care. It was later reported that the question was carefully staged by Obama. His answer was thought out before hand.

This is UPSIDE DOWN DAY! This is the day that Obama’s approval ratings turned UPSIDE DOWN! He was riding astronomical approval figures a few weeks ago. Today, he is UPSIDE DOWN!

The Rasmussen Poll has for the first time listed Obama’s approval ratings as only 49% approved and 51% disapprove.

Karl Rove on the Cavuto Show mentioned that Obama was “Upside down”. Right Wing News has declared today as Upside Down Day.

Newt Gingrich on Cavuto says that Obama was way to liberal, spending way too much, and way too far to the left for the American people.

The American people have been ignoring the vast pro-Obama media and making decisions for themselves. Sorry, ABC, CBS, and NBC.

I attended today an anti-Obama-Care demon-stration in Dallas. I took the time to use my Nikon CoolPix 5000 to shoot some very shaky video.

This was originally a moveon-dot-org sponsored pro-Obama-Care rally. Apparently we took it over and turned it into an anti-Obama-Care rally. Read about it here.

Meanwhile, the gallop poll is reporting that a majority 50% of all Americans are against Obama-Care. Not even Obama’s prime time speech could keep the White House from announcing that the vote on the House bill would be postponed until September. That means that the vote will come after representatives come back to Washington for the annual summer break.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that Texas physicians have broken with the American Medical Association over Obama-Care.

The Associated Press reported that qualms about Obama-Care are growing.

Obama’s personal approvals ratings have fallen from 62% to 54% in the past month. Karl Rove reported in the Wall Street Journal that Obama’s Health Care scheme is in trouble.

In an earlier blog, I felt that Obama-Care was a virtual done deal. There was then little doubt that with a huge Democratic majority in the House, Obama would get what he wanted. Now I still think it is better than 50-50, but not a done deal.

The only way this can be stopped is for 40 so-called Blue Dog Democrats to switch their votes.

It appears that socialized healthcare under the Obama regime is here. People want it. It’s only a matter time when the law is passed.

All indications are that the Democrats and the Obama regime will pass the multi-trillion dollar law without any idea how to fund it. That’s not surprising when you think about Obama has already passed a budget without a taxes to fund it.

But let’s think about healthcare here in the U.S. It is a terrible mess in the United Kingdom (England) where socialized medicine has been the law of the land for decades. The U.K.’s population has relatively fewer immigrants and people living risky life styles.

Waiting lines for vital procedures are routine in the U.K. Hospitals are still using the ward system. Private and semi-private rooms are not available for ordinary citizens. In some cases, both men and women share the same ward.

All the healthcare in the U.K. is underfunded. Salaries for nurses are so low that they routinely recruit these healthcare professionals from third world countries.

Healthcare for the elderly is withheld or limited in the U.K.. The elderly need more healthcare than any group, yet it is rationed for this group. Let’s be honest here. There is not enough money to give every American first class health care. My predictions is that healthcare here will be rationed like it is in the U.K.

I also predict that illegal aliens will be streaming in from Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Asia to get access to our “free” healthcare.

Given all the people with HIV, given all the people living risky lifestyles, given all the people whose tattoos will manifest itself as hepatitis C/D in the future, given all the sexual transmitted diseases, given all the new citizens who will sponsor their elderly parents into this country, my question is what will be left for the citizens who have paid taxes all their lives?

Wake up people! This is insanity!

What is significant about June 23?

June 23 is a big day in the POTUS BHO’s regime. It will be six months into his tenure; and on that day the economic calamity will be BHO’s alone!

To compound that fact, the unemployment rate is heading to surpass 10 percent. No matter how BHO and the liberal Democrats can spin, the economy belongs to the young, inexperience man who had an answer for everything during the 2008 presidential campaign.

First, he promised that if Congress passed HIS stimulus package, the recovery will on its way. It was all to save jobs. Then as the unemployment continued to climb, BHO & Co. started talking about how many jobs he “saved”. The jobs saved is a mythical fiction that no one can quantify.

One figure he won’t be able to run away from is the 10% plus unemployment which will be announced this mouth just in time for his six-month “anniversary”.

It’s true! Conservatives voters are the largest ideological group in American politics, so says the Gallup Poll.

What about liberals? Those Americans who say they are liberal only make up 21% of the voters. Some 35% say they are moderate and that is why politics is so mixed up in this country.

Although the terms may mean different things to different people, Americans readily peg themselves, politically, into one of five categories along the conservative-to-liberal spectrum. While these figures have shown little change over the past decade, the nation appears to be slightly more polarized than it was in the early 1990s. Compared with the 1992-1994 period, the percentage of moderates has declined from 42% to 35%, while the percentages of conservatives and liberals are up slightly -- from 38% to 40% for conservatives and a larger 17% to 21% movement for liberals.

Conservatives can take heart and liberals like BHO should note these figures, too.
